Spring Break 2011

We have been telling the kids for a few months that we would be going to Oregon and Washington for Spring Break. Fortunately for us they are equal opportunity on fun and vacations because about 10 days before spring break we announced a change in plans and Northern California was our new destination (with a promise that Oregon and Washington would be coming soon). So, it was great. I can't believe it had been 9 years since we had been back. It was great to see family, old friends, the new Sacramento Temple and take the kids to all our old hangouts. I think Isaac got somewhat fatiqued at us constantly saying "You remember this don't you?" Hard to believe there was a time when Isaac didn't remember every road, options for efficient arrival at regular destinations and side-road scenery.

It was awesome weather of course and so much fun to relax, renew relationships and just have a great time. We enjoyed time with aunts, uncles and cousins, old friends, Sacramento, San Francisco and Santa Cruz. If the kids were to break it down, their favorites would be:
Isaac: Jelly Belly Factory, driving the tractor at Aunt Candy's house
Ainsley: Jelly Belly Factory
Olivia: Jelly Belly's, Ghirardelli Chocolates and practicing her mad chinese skills in China Town (gotta mention I am so proud of her for being willing to put her talents out there to the locals).
Italia: Sea Lions and of course Jelly Belly's
Acacia: I have no idea but she loved everything and of course Jelly Belly's

Easy to see, Jelly Belly Factory was and continues to be a family favorite. I loved Spring Break and the time on the road with the family. They even indulged me with 2 outlet mall stops. This trip was an absolute success. I love each of my kids and my one hubby so much!! Good Times!
