Our Second 1st Day of School
Isaac thought he would be heading to Eaglecrest Elementary this morning with "the gang" for the first day school. All that changed when we got an e-mail from Renaissance on Tuesday afternoon stating they had an opening for him. He hadn't prepped himself at all for this possibility so he had some stress when he initially heard the news. I told him he could wait and start on Monday so he had more time to mentally prep himself but everything seemed to change after playing with Caleb Estes on Tuesday afternoon. Apparently Caleb told Isaac that they would be starting worksheets on Wednesday. I guess this was all Isaac needed to hear. He came home and announced that he was heading out to Renaissance the next day because he loves worksheets and doesn't want to miss any. Well OKAY! I didn't get the paperwork done in time so he wasn't able to start until today but he seems to have gotten over the challenges of abandoning his friends (at least this is how he sees it) and is pretty pleased with how his first day went.
I can't believe he is in 4th grade!! He is a great kid and is so good in school. I know he would excel in any school situation he is put into but I am glad that he is excited about school and hope he has a GREAT year!!
Holy cow he is in 4th grade? We live near your Clinton home - and I was remembering when you lived there - and how "far" it was...
ReplyDeleteyour family is so cute. It is fun to see how each of them favor either you or Brian.
4th grade? Really? Little Isaac? Jordan started 3rd when we moved here and look at him now. It will go by fast. I'm with Isaac...love worksheets, love paperwork. Glad he's going to have a great year.
