Ainsley's First Day of School

In an attempt to keep life exciting, we will have 3 first days of school at our house this year. Today was the first. Ainsley headed off all by herself for her first experience at Renaissance Academy. She doesn't seem to mind going at this alone since she gets to do something that nobody else is doing and she gets to do it first. She is really excited (almost as much as I am!) about wearing a uniform each day and has her limited wardrobe planned out for the week. I added a close up of her shoes since we spent hours shoe shopping on Saturday to make sure she had some fun "accessories" to accentuate her personality. Last Thursday we went to Meet the Teacher Night and when we walked into the classroom she looked around and with amazement in her voice she proclaimed, "This is better than I thought it was gonna be!" I guess she thought I was sending her to some sort of dive or something because she seemed pretty impressed. Her teacher is Miss Hart and from what I have seen so far, she seems like the perfect teacher for Ainsley.

So, it really is back to school time and the lazy days (ha ha) of summer are over. Isaac heads out on Thursday and Olivia is up in the air depending if she starts Kindergarten at Renaissance or at Eaglecrest. She is #1 on Renaissance's waiting list so hopefully she gets in before school starts instead of after. But whatever happens, Olivia is flexible and just thrilled to death to take this leap!! Happy School Everyone!!

  1. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her shoes! It's just not so fun or cute to dress teenagers. Hope they all love their teachers this year!
