It's Flag Day!
Italia and Acacia had a real fascination with all the flags placed neatly around the neighborhood this time around. Normally they are pushed into the grass but the kids could feel the difference in the air. This time they were sat down in holes in the curb. We don't know exactly how things went down but our assumption is that the flag was lifted out of the ground and when it was dropped back in, Acacia's middle piggie was in the way. Brian and I were inside making dinner when our sweet Acacia came around to the back of the house screaming. Upon further examination Brian concluded the doctor was in our immediate future. Off I went with one little girl sitting in her car seat curled up and wimpering. Our Doctor was awesome and he got right to work fixing the problem. We started by giving you a shot to numb the area. You didn't appreciate that in the beginning and kept yelling "Why are you doing this to me?". A few minutes later your tune had changed and you were sitting up to get a better view and kept saying things like "All better! we can go now!" They brought out a wrap and you said, "Hey, I said I wanted a pink bandaid!". You were a perfect little princess. The Dr. put in four stitches and sent us to the hospital for X-rays to make sure there was no fracture in there. You should be as good as new before too long but we have been warned that being a toe model may not be an option for you. The photos here of your toe were taken 2 days later at our follow up appointment. The other photos were taken while we were at the hospital waiting for the x-rays.
