Memorial Day 2011

Some years Memorial Day is a Beautiful day filled with picnics, games, and family. This year it was games and family but no picnics. It was freezing and snowy. The morning started early for Isaac and I at the Alpine Cemetery where the 5th graders from his school were singing at their Memorial Day Flag Ceremony and Celebration. It was a nice way to start the day and their singing was great, although the snow on the ground and constant rain was a bummer. After the ceremony we enjoyed breakfast at Ihop before heading home.

Because of the cold weather our options of activities were limited but we wanted to do something so one thing led to another and pretty soon we decided to put on a game of "Let's Make A Deal". We had watched the game that morning and the kids loved the idea. Everyone came to the family room in costume ready to wheel and deal. It was a fun time, everyone ended up a winner!!
